Brief Biography:

Local Business owner and Veteran -  Born and raised in Harford County.I know the area and it’s people. I am a consensus builder with strong leadership ability. The only County Council candidate with military background to assist in the base realignment transition. I WILL BE A FULL TIME COUNCIL PERSON.       No outside distractions like having to work another job.

1.   Why are you running for this office?

To make a difference for the future of Harford County citizens. To involve the citizens again in the process that controls their destiny. To provide quality education for our young. To push for redevelopment of the tired areas of Harford County rather than NEW development over our farm land.  To make sure every citizen has a safe neighborhood.  To keep a watchful eye for waste and eliminate unnecessary spending and reduce taxes when at all possible.

2.   If you are elected, what do you intend to do to improve the quality of education in Harford County ?

Make sure our teachers are adequately compensated for the great job they do. They have now moved up from 18th out of 24 sub divisions in pay to around 12th. I want them no lower than 10th  even better if possible. Push for excellent schools. Find additional funding from the Feds if possible. Advocate more  partnerships like the Math and Science program at Aberdeen H S.

3.       What do you intend to do to prepare Harford County for the influx of 30000 new jobs from BRAC?

Co Executive Craig has already done a yeoman’s job in preparation. I will continue his initiatives for infra- structure funding, school construction,  redevelopment of areas for homes and  recreational areas to insure a positive quality of life.

4.   What in your mind is the biggest problem facing Harford County as it enters the twenty first century and how do you expect to correct this problem?

The   introduction of gangs.  We need more programs for our kids 11 to 15..I will further support PAL  and Boys and Girls clubs.  Fully fund the sheriff’s dept in working to eradicate drugs and decay from our neighborhoods. Work to clean up the slum lords and their sub standard living conditions that breed bad characters.
