1.   Why are you running for this office?

·        Piecemeal rezoning permit requests

·        New School construction and the North Harford High School remodeling fiasco

·        BRAC and high tech jobs for Harford County

·        A soon to be $1 Billion countywide budget

2.   If you are elected, what do you intend to do to improve the quality of education in Harford County?

Eliminate trailers.  Plan for growth and build the new schools before we are filled to capacity.  Fully reimburse teachers continuing education tuition costs.  Never remodel a school on such a huge scale.

3.      What do you intend to do to prepare Harford County for the influx of 30000 new jobs from BRAC?

Take the lead on a $1 Billion dollar budget.  Get the hospitals and emergency rooms expanded for more visitors.  Pay EMS and Fire personnel in key county areas.  Develop offices and manufacturing facilities in industrial parks and enterprise zones.

4.   What in your mind is the biggest problem facing Harford County as it enters the twenty first century and how do you expect to correct this problem?

We need to have county residents working in Harford County.  The commute on I-95 can stretch 12 miles.  Routes 22 & 24 have 5 mile rolling backups during rush hours.  The future of our work force will be in high tech jobs.  Aerospace industries and defense industries especially.  We need high quality training for our students and workers to be employed and reside in our county.
