New Faces at Harford Tech
 
David Choquette - Auto Diagnostics and Systems Repair

Mr. Choquette comes to Harford Tech after 25 years in auto diagnostics and system repair.  He is married to his wonderful wife Sheryl and they have a son Blake who will be 7 this month and has just started first grade this year.  Mr. Choquette loves muscle cars.  Mr Choquette says "I am looking forward to working with the students at Harford Tech.

Emily Knowles - Mathematics

This is Ms. Knowles' second year of teaching. Last year, Ms. Knowles taught math to grades 6-10 at Restoration Academy Charter School. Before becoming a teacher, she worked as a counselor at a residential treatment facility and as a therapeutic staff support for children with behavioral disorders. Ms. Knowles earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a M.S. in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati, and a teaching certificate at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. When not teaching, making lesson plans, or surfing the web for math-related books and activities, Ms. Knowles enjoys reading, completing sudoku puzzles, watching a little tv, and training in Tae Kwon Do.  

Megan Kyne - Mathematics

 

 I recently graduated from Towson University like a few weeks ago! I did student teaching at Bel Air Middle and Bel Air High. I am a yoga instructor in Towson and absolutely love it. I have been tutoring since I was in 8th grade, so you could say I was meant to teach. I am a die-hard Ravens fan!! Boo Steelers! I love to travel and am planning on taking a 3-week trip this summer to Australia.
 

 

 
 Susan Misey - English

Mrs. Misey is beginning her 23rd year of teaching English.  She began her career at George Fox Middle School in Anne Arundel County  and she has taught at a number of schools in Harford County, including Edgewood Middle School, North Harford High School, Aberdeen High School and, most recently, C. Milton Wright.
 
She received a Bachelor's from Towson in Mass Communications, attended two more years for Secondary English Certification, and earned her Masters in Professional Writing there as well. 
 
Mrs. Misey is married to Paul Misey and they have a family of eight to include sons: John, 18, Kristopher, 13, and Jakob 9; a homeless former-student, Michael, 18; a homeless victim of domestic violence and best friend since the Nixon Administration, Mary Jo, plus; my eighty-five year old feisty father.  She has a dog with anxiety issues, or that all of these people and critters are packed into a townhouse?  She says, "in short, I am living a reality TV series."
 
Her interests outside of school include writing fiction, reading, music and swimming.  She is excited about joining the faculty/staff of Harford Tech. 

Shellye Caron - Nursing

Shellye has a BS in Biology from Randolph-Macon College, an MS in Biology from Johns Hopkins University and a BSN in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University.
 
She says, "Actually, this is my first teaching job but I have worked in long term care/rehab nursing, ambulatory surgery nursing, public health nursing and school nursing (20 yrs of nursing)!  Before I went to nursing school, I did pain research at Hopkins.
 
My family lives in Havre de Grace and consists of me, my husband Roger, a daughter  Emily who is starting 9th grade, a son  Alex who is starting 6th grade,  and an incredibly cute 3 yr old yellow lab named Sophie. And many fish."
